Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the GamesFolio mobile app and this website collect, why, and what happens to it. GamesFolio is operated from India under the trading name GamesFolio. Questions, or a deletion request, go to privacy@gamesfolio.com.

The short version

• We collect what is needed to score matches and keep your records — nothing for advertising.
• There are no ads, no ad SDKs and no advertising identifiers in the app.
• There is no analytics or tracking SDK inside the app.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data, ever.
• Live streams are not recorded or stored by us.

What we collect

Account information

Signing in uses Google, and is the only way to sign in. From your Google account we receive your email address, name and profile photo. We use the email address to identify your account across devices. We never receive your Google password.

Your profile

A display name and a phone number, which are required to create your profile, plus whatever else you choose to add: profile photo, city, and per-sport details such as batting or bowling style, playing role, football position or preferred foot.

Your phone number is never shown to other users. Someone who already knows your number can enter it in player search to find your profile, the way teammates add each other to squads; the search never displays the number.

Match and team data

Matches you create or score, the teams and squads you set up, ball-by-ball and rally-by-rally events, scorecards, tournament fixtures and results, and the career statistics derived from them. This is the substance of the app, and match data is visible to other users of the app.

Guest players

You can add a teammate by name without them having an account. If you do, you are entering someone else's name — please only add people who are happy to appear on a scorecard. Anyone can write to us to have their name removed.

Camera and microphone

Only used while you are broadcasting a match, and only after you grant permission. Live video and audio are carried to viewers by Agora, our streaming provider. We do not record, store or review streams; when a broadcast ends, the video is gone.

This website

If you join the launch waitlist we store the email address you submit. To stop that form being abused we also store a salted, irreversible hash of the submitting IP address and a truncated browser user-agent string — the IP address itself is never written down. Website traffic measurement uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

What we do not collect

There is no in-app purchasing, so we never see payment details. There is no advertising identifier, cross-app tracking, or location tracking.

Who processes your data

• Google — sign-in.
• Convex — the backend that stores your account, matches and statistics.
• Agora — carries live audio and video while you broadcast.
• Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides cookieless traffic measurement.

Each of these processes data on our behalf so the service can function. We do not share your data with anyone for marketing.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your sign-in and profile details are deleted; match and statistics records stay, credited to an anonymous "Deleted player", because removing them would break the scorecards and tournament records other participants rely on. Waitlist email addresses are deleted once the launch announcement has gone out, or on request, whichever comes first.

Your choices

• Edit or remove your profile details at any time in the app.
• Revoke camera and microphone access in your device settings; only broadcasting stops working.
• Delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). How account deletion works.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing privacy@gamesfolio.com. We will confirm your identity through your registered email address before acting.

Children

GamesFolio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. Junior players often appear in match records entered by a coach or parent; if you believe a child's information is in the app and should not be, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our hosting providers. Scoring is server-authoritative, and only users you have added as scorers can change a match. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects you, say so in the app. Continuing to use GamesFolio after a change means you accept the updated policy.
